Brittany and Austin with their carved pumpkins, outside on the patio...Busy day--ran to Target and didn't get what Brittany wanted to spend her gift cards on...went to IKEA--returned a coffee table and checked things out, but we didn't buy anything...stopped at another Target--certainly one that gets more crowded than the one by our house. They had what she wanted--new bedding sets that were on sale--it's a reversable pink cheetah/zebra print...there are also cute zebra with black fethers throw pillows--although at $20, defenitly something for the Christmas list. Anyhow, stopped at the grocery store and got a couple of things for burgers and the kids each picked a pumpkin. We rested a little and then started on dinner. The homemade burgers and homemade with real potatoes french fries were really good. Later we cleaned up dinner and carved away at the pumpkins. Brittany pretty much did hers herself, with Austin still needing some help, especially since he doesn't like to get his hand in there at the guts...he also needed some help with the carving, but did pretty good on his own. I felt really bad when the tiny teeth that he drew and that I carved fell out--they were just too tiny. Nick took some square hard gum and added them, and when it's lit and glows, you can't even tell that they're white...So, after then cleaning through his room some more, we blew out the candles and went to bed...well, I still need too, but you get the idea...
