Me in my Orange and Black witchy attire and Nick in his mad scientist (even though he looked more like just a scientist...)A fun day of Cub Scout leader training--okay, not really that much fun. Nick coulda/shoulda been there but was taking care of other stuff--Austin's haircut, gym, lawn, setting up the tent--needs to seal the seams. We got cleaned up and changed for this fancy Halloween party through some work company (not his company but one he does work with)...it was at a nice hotel--Omni by the Galleria. There was some yummy appetizers, with waiters walking around with them--spring rolls/chicken tenders and large shrimp w/veggies and fruit on a table. Oh, and the open bar! Yikes! So many tequila sunrises for me! There was this really good magician that came around and was entertaining Nick and I and a friend from work. He first gave us a surprise with the flaming wallet. There was a guy doing carictures of people, but Nick and I never made it there...he was always busy with someone. We then went into the dining area, and there was a nice spread with prime rib. They even served mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes in martini glasses. How fancy! For dessert they brought out ice cream--way too much of it--and tons of toppings. There were also little fancy desserts, like mini coconut cream pies. There was dj and dance area, and we did a little of that. It was a pretty fun party with some crazy costumes, and lots of Russians. (the owner of the company was married to a Russian girl...)

sounds like you had fun at the fancy party! yummy appetizers, open bar, little desserts... um, why wasn't i invited again? ha! :)
