Thursday and Friday in Ohio--Good Times!

Sorry for the combined blog--didn't get to it yesterday. Yesterday, Thursday, we met up with my mother-in-law, and we went a little ways away to go to the Gabriel Brothers store. Got a couple of things there--2 pairs of jeans and 2 swimsuits for Brittany, also couple of shirts for me. We also ate lunch down there, and it was very nice. We then mostly just hung out here. We had the hamburgers and hot dogs again. Very yummy!

Today we went to the Columbus Zoo. Couldn't believe how far from Ali's house it was. And there was a lot of walking...it's a nice zoo, but there was no African savanna area. They had Asian elephants and there are rhinos--BUT no zebras or giraffes. We did visit the kangaroos, which you aren't blocked from...but they were pretty much sleeping. Most of the animals were sleeping. And the schools must still be in and sending all their kids on field trips, because there were a lot of school groups--some with not so well-behaved kids...whatever. We also got Sonic happy hour (my new fave drink is a Route 44 Dr. Pepper w/vanilla and cherry)...we stopped at Cold Stone, since Ali had been craving it so much...yummy Sweet Cream with Butterfinger mix-in. We made some pepperoni pizzas. It's been a good evening so far...Ali's cat doesn't seem to like the kids, or them in the basement. Brittany got scratched pretty bad. She got chased up the stairs and clawed. She'll survive... Well, I need to run--games time!
